Four Avenues of Service - Community Service

Community Service Plans:

 This Old House… helping seniors with house repairs, cleaning, painting, and yard work that they cannot not longer keep up with due to finances, health, or age. Chair: Keith Richardson

Snack Trailer… giving Rotary community visibility at Elk Grove events such as the city anniversary party, the Salute to Red White and Blue, the Strauss Festival, the Veterans Day Parade. Chair: Pat Hume

 Jessie Baker Christmas Party… held at Jessie Baker School to honor those children with an exciting Christmas Party and lots of gifts. Chair: Ron Suter

 Breakfast With Santa… Our traditional breakfast at Applebees for the community and the support goes to the Elk Grove Teen Center. Chair: Noel Rosas

 Project RIDE… part of our community fundraising activity…an on-going volunteer effort Chair: Chris Hanson

 Western Festival… Rotary will sponsor a float again the Western Festival Parade. Chair:

 Christmas Light Parade… Rotary will sponsor a float for the Christmas light Parade in December. Chair: Pat Hume

 Senior Smoke Alarm Project… To check senior’s homes for smoke alarm batteries and replace the alarm or batteries. Project in cooperation with EGFD Chairs: Marshall Goins & Keith Grueneberg

 Holiday Baskets… To distribute holiday baskets to seniors that have needs over the holiday period…not sure what holidays we are talking about, ie, thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year. Chairs: Barbara Feist & Lee Scherman

 Relay for Life… to help with the Relay for Life project Chair: Reid Montgomery

 Del Meyer Park…to complete the Del Meyer Park Chairs: Chris Hansen & Greg Heguiagaray

 Tree planting Environmental Project… Tree planting in various CSD Parks. The number of 90-100 trees would represent the number of Rotarians in our club. Chairs: Tony Renteria and Scott Edwards
