The month of August was off to a great start with the Mentor/Mentee Retreat at South Lake Tahoe. Many thanks to Jon Colton for use of the cabin and Sidney Smith for working with the students to focus on their life with rotary and making positive decisions that affect their own lives. The Annual Beef and Reef Event is rapidly approaching. Remember to get your tickets sold ($50 each) and either donate $75 or a comparable gift for the raffle.  Our speaker this week was Superintendent Chris Hoffman who gave us an update on the Elk Grove Unified School District. This next week we will meet at Rotary Grove in Elk Grove Park. Let Debbie Paulson know if you are attending in order to have enough food for the event.
