Hello Fellow Rotarians,

Welcome to President Diane's first newsletter. You may find the newsletter format changes from month to month. I would like to say it will always be intentional, and it might, but my guess is I will struggle to duplicate the format each month! That is a long way to ask that you please bear with me as I learn this technology.

I look forward to serve alongside all the great Rotarians in the Elk Grove Rotary Club to provide service above self to the Elk Grove community and beyond.

At our July 8 Club meeting, I will outline my priorities for the coming year. I will highlight my presentation in the August newsletter.

PRESIDENT ELLIOT'S DEBUNKING

On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Bob Lent's ranch, Elk Grove Rotarians honored outgoing President Elliot Mulberg.

Many thanks to those who made this a successful event. Of course, thanks to the ever-generous Bob Lent for providing the perfect setting for the evening. I am appreciative of the planning committee members - Nancy Lucia, Steve Jones, Cathy Guy, and Jean Hawkins- and Jason Crowson for his IT skills. And thanks to Becky Davis, Dan Lawrence, Dena and Les Willmon, Don Guy, and Harry Vine for handling various aspects of the event.

President Elliot served the Club for the 2025-2026 Rotary Year. During his service, he asked Rotarians to step up and attend community events to ensure that the Elk Grove community is aware of the good work done by the Club.

He continued the fellowship of our Club with trips to a baseball game in West Sacramento and a community theater event at the holidays.

President Elliot oversaw a successful Beef & Reef, ensured that we continued our partnership with Project Ride and the Jesse Baker School, and participated in various other events such as Breakfast with Santa.

We wish Elliot a well-deserved break as he moves into the role of past President and chair of the Rotary Foundation Board.
